I'll dominate 'legitimate boxer' Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer prepares to battle the American YouTuber in an eight-round fight which will be broadcast live on the streaming platform.

British boxer Joshua said he will "stamp all over" the American and "break" his opponent as the pair confronted each other to promote next month's bout.

Ex two-time world boxing king Anthony Joshua battles social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a massive disparity - at Miami's venue on 19 December.

Fighter's Mindset

"I'm going to break his face and damage his physique. My goal is to show my superiority," the British boxer, 35 years old, said.

"I'll stamp all over him. That's a fighter's mentality.

"I'm going to genuinely try to injure him. That's what I want to do."

Respectful Interaction

In spite of such comments, a relaxed Anthony Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - typically famous for his theatrics - exchanged pleasantries and remained civil with each other.

Jake Paul instead targeted former Joshua rival the Cameroonian fighter and called him "ridiculous" after Ngannou rejected a match opportunity.

Taking Aim at Tyson Fury

Joshua, at the same time, criticized British rival Tyson Fury - and declined a £1m bet 'The Gypsy King' states he will put on a victory for Paul.

"[Paul] is better than Fury - he showed up," Joshua commented.

"I give him credit for that."

Serious Opponent

Despite declaring he will damage his opponent, Anthony Joshua declined to talk badly about his opponent's fighting skills.

"Jake Paul is a legitimate boxer," he remarked.

Jake Paul's Background

Jake Paul - who initially became famous on the Disney Channel - has primarily fought MMA fighters or faded names since turning professional.

He was defeated by Briton Tommy Fury in 2023.

Commercial Attraction

Still, the relative newcomer is still one of the sport's largest commercial attractions, regularly earning huge financial rewards.

Forecast and Belief

The 28 year old anticipated a stoppage in round four or five and claimed he would derail the much-anticipated Fury-Joshua bout, which is apparently under discussion for two years from now.

"The next fight will be myself against Tyson Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul stated.

Size Disparity

As the two fighters met for the traditional face-off, with their height and weight contrast on show, it emphasized just how improbable this whole event is - and how remarkable it is that the fight is truly going ahead.
